การทำให้หลองข้าวสามารถเคลื่อนที่ได้ จะใช้ไม้ท่อนกลมวางขวางเป็นแนว แล้วดึงรอกให้หลองข้าวขยับไปด้านหน้าทีละน้อย จากจุดที่ตั้งเดิม ไปยังจุดที่ตั้งใหม่ ณ พิพิธภัณฑ์เรือนโบราณล้านนา สำนักส่งเสริมศิลปวัฒนธรรม มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่

To move the rice silo, we laid round logs in front and used a pulley to move the silo little by little from its original location to it’s new location at the Lanna Traditional House Museum, Center for the Promotion of Arts and Culture, Chiang Mai University.
